Une fille, un garçon et un vieux technicien se retrouvent chaque soir dans une petite salle de cinéma désaffecté pour interpréter six histoires, tirées de légendes africaines, tibétaines et antillaises. Le premier récit est «Le Loup-Garou», dans lequel deux sœurs tentent de conquérir le cœur d’un preux chevalier qui se transforme en loup les nuits de pleine lune. Dans le second conte, intitulé «Tijean et la Belle-sans-connaître», un garçonnet, échoué au pays des morts, se voit imposer trois épreuves très difficiles pour mériter la main de la fille du roi.
