A Paris, Bertrand Valade rend visite de nuit à monsieur Coulson, un vieil auteur anglais qui vient de terminer une pièce de théâtre. Quand celui-ci meurt brutalement, le jeune homme s'empare de sa dernière oeuvre, non publiée, intitulée «Passwords», mots de passe. Quelques mois plus tard, la pièce est un véritable succès et Régis Grant, son éditeur qui lui a fait une belle avance financière, attend la livraison de sa nouvelle oeuvre. Mais Bertrand le déçoit en lui apprenant qu'il voudrait écrire un roman.

    Dear Sony,\nLearn from your mistake with Slender Man and dont butcher this film for a PG13. it is more irresponsable to edit violence down to market to children than to show the reality of violence. A GOOD film has legs. If you rate this PG13, all youre confirming is that you dont have faith in it past opening weekend. PS- IM SICK OF SPIDERMAN. I, and many others want CARNAGE and he demands a R rating. you at least lose my money if this is PG13 and AND CARNAGE ARE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CHARACTERS. im wise to your idea of a comicbook movie Sony. we see things very different. im your audience."
